10 DAYS
01
FIRST DAY
Arrival to Nice at 08.10 in the morning. Transfer to Menton. Free time at the hotel.
Menton is a quiet ancient town with a preserved flavor, narrow and lively streets. Here you can see linen put out to dry outdoors, to hear songs flowing from the windows, to feel smells of delicious dishes. In the evenings, the embankment turns into noisy cafes with dances on the carriageway and salutes.
The town is a mixture of cultures of the two countries, as it the last one on the way to the Italian border. Menton is both a resort and a port at the same time. Even Napoleon III considered it the most delightful panoramic place on the entire Mediterranean. Olive groves, lush parterres of the park, tropical plants seem to turn this city into a large garden of Eden.
Night in Menton.
02
SECOND DAY
We will begin a walk through the most beautiful gardens of Menton-exotic and Villa Carnole.
Previously, the villa was the summer residence of the princes of Monaco. But now it is a museum with a small but interesting collection of paintings, as well as a citrus garden. Mandarin trees grow in all the streets, the fruits literally fall under the feet, as well as olives in the ancient olive grove located on the seashore.
And, for sure, we will not ignore the beautiful medieval village in the Roquebrun-Village mountains.
Its terrain fascinates at first sight.
Rockbrunn-Cap-Martin is known for its luxurious, incredibly expensive villas and at the same time it has preserved the charm of a medieval village, as if frozen in centuries, where an ancient castle stands on top.
This beautiful part of the Cote d'Azur attracted the British statesman Winston Churchill and such celebrities as Coco Chanel, Empress Elizabeth of Austria, Romain Gary, Le Corbusier.
Return to Menton. Night at the hotel.
03
THIRD DAY
Excursion to Monaco
Somerset Maugham once said that Monaco is a sunny place for those who are always in the shade. The definition is surprisingly accurate, because in Monaco despite its small size you can escape from prying eyes. In Cannes, for example, the high and mighties of this world walk openly along the Croisette or sit on verandas of expensive hotels.
Monaco seems to be filled with the crowds of tourists only. But this is only an appearance. So, let's go ahead, to look at the microstate. We will take a walk in the Princely Palace, the Oceanographic Museum, and also visit the park of exotic plants.
Return to Menton. Free time. Night at the hotel.
04
FOURTH DAY
Departure to Eze.
The village of Eze is located between the blue sea and the azure sky, caressed by the jasmine field and drowning in the thickets of bougainvillea. Here, on top of the cliff, there is a wonderful garden of exotic plants, from where a breathtaking view of the peninsula of Cap Ferrat opens. A leisurely walk and a high gastronomic cuisine.
You will taste authentic Michelin delights in the restaurant of the Hotel La Chèvre d'Or. This place was appreciated by such celebrities as Walt Disney, Marlene Dietrich, Elizabeth Taylor, Roger Moore, Tony Curtis, Clint Eastwood and Robert De Niro.
Accommodation and rest at the hotel. Free time.
05
FIFTH DAY
Trip to Saint Paul de Vence.
This town owes its worldwide fame to the Parisian artists, who chose the restaurant "Golden Dove". It was a favorite place of Modigliani, Picasso, Cocteau and Prever, and many others. Matisse, Leger, Calder, Georges Braque and Marc Chagall were among the regular customers, and their works decorate the interior of the restaurant.
Poor artists simply could not pay for food and shelter, so they left their works to the owner. Thus, the owners of the restaurant gathered an outstanding collection, which may be envied by the most eminent museum. Yves Montand and Simone Signoret also met, and later celebrated the wedding in the "Golden Dove".
Later, St. Paul was discovered by the cinematic bohemia. Brigitte Bardot, Greta Garbo, Sophia Loren, Bert Lancaster, Catherine Deneuve - these are just some of the names from the long list of celebrities who have chosen the quiet town.
In the afternoon - rest. Night at the hotel in Eze.
06
SIXTH DAY
Transfer to Antibes.
Here on the Cote d'Azur of France, in a town located neatly between Cannes and Nice, "the art of enjoying life" fills every breath. You can catch this feeling easily just strolling along the local embankment, where in the evenings voracious gulls beg fishermen for fish scraps. Or walking in the park, on the paths of which local citizens play petanha with genuine excitement.
In Antibes, from the early morning until midnight you will have the feeling that you are in the 1920s, when a Fitzgerald couple or Pablo Picasso could be seen in a cafe at a nearby table.
In this town Picasso created his perhaps the most resilient picture of "La Joie de vivre", and Fitzgerald worked on the tender and sad novel "The Night is Tender". Here, the past is felt no less clearly than the present. Flavor of this place can be compared with expensive French wine, in a bouquet of which different epochs are combined like floral notes: from antiquity and the Middle Ages to Belle Époque and roaring twenties.
Accommodation and rest at the hotel. Dinner.
07
SEVENTH DAY
Rest at the hotel. In the afternoon excursion to Grasse - perfume capital of the Côte d'Azur.
Visit to the international museum of perfumery and the museum of Villa Fragonard.
Return to Antibes in the afternoon. Night at the hotel.
08
EIGHTH DAY
Departure to Cannes.
Cannes is known for its film festival and extremely sympathetic atmosphere. Countless yachts close the horizon, and the city lives by the motto: "life is a festival". Many tourists come to Cannes "to look at people" and walk along the hotels on the Promenade de la Croisette. Becoming famous for Coco Chanel, the city with its beaches is a real temptation for tourists.
In the evening we offer you to sip a glass of wine in a coastal restaurant and to watch a prestigious international show - the Fireworks Festival, in which pyrotechnic high-class teams from around the world take part.
Night in Cannes.
09
NINTH DAY
We will go on a cruise on a large catamaran to the Lerins Islands. They inspire serenity and allow you to enjoy its wild, untouched nature. The Sainte Marguerite Island, with beautiful alleys and pine-eucalyptus groves. Then there is Saint-Honorat, which belongs to the monastic community of the Cistercians. Here you can see the fortified monastery and abbey.
Free time in the afternoon. Night at the hotel in Cannes.
